  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

What did you do with your DH Genesis today?

Since you went with GT-S springs, stay with the offset close to OEM wheels. If you go with low offset around 35 on the the front, you will rub badly, turning wheels either way, while taking off/on any driveway, unless you go slower than ~2 mph. That was the reason I got rid of GT-S and put on GT-F springs. My set up is 20x9 et32 and 20x10.5 et45 - no issues at all.
I got about the same offset as yours on my 20" wheels and was also thinking of dropping mine just a little bit with the GT-F springs. But looking at the Megan coilover kit for our cars, I can't decide which way to go. Do you know anybody that had the Megan kit installed and/or how whould you compare the two (roughness) for everyday driving in the city? I emailed ARK performance almost 2 weeks ago, to ask what is the spring rate on those GT-F's and never got back to me.

Thanks! Wow, they wouldn't fit with my car (thinking about going with Rohana RC7). They would definitely rub since I'm on GTS springs on a 15' 5.0. I thought I would need the same offset, but now that I see yours I'm wodering what offset I would need to go with where it wouldn't as flush to the fender. I need to be about 3-5mm inside the fenders in order for it not to rub with how low my car is.
If you're looking for staggered 20" wheels that might fit your car with the GT-S springs, maybe an offset like this one, would not stick out as much for no rubbing.

I was happy with the GT-F springs - ~.75 drop all around. Some guys said, that coilovers are way to go, idk. I can only tell you, GT-S's front springs are no go for a 5.0, drop was ~1.75 inch! Imagine how "smooth" the car would ride over some rough road, haha!

I got bored and I replaced cabin and engine air filters.
Dealer wanted to charge me ~30 dollars just to replace the cabin air filter, which indeed, was dirty....but why the engine filters? both looks good as new, that would be another ~30 dollars. Anyways.... I swapped them with K&N, added a sticker and I think that's an extra ~10hp! :hangloose:

Haha! not really, but my butt dyno says it's faster now :D
No more projects for this car. I'm happy with the JB4 tune and that is it. I'm saving up money for my new telephoto lens....every thousand counts! 😂

Does the G80 3.3 engine cover come with a Genesis logo on it?

Yup, front center.
That's rather odd that the engine in the G70 doesn't offer that. Yeah I know it's probably due sharing the engine and platform with the Stinger, but I would prefer my G70 have the Genesis logo. It is, after all, a Genesis.

Most engine components on the G80 have "Hyundai" all over it, so the "Genesis" Eng Cover only does the same as the one on the G70 other than for looks

I can't make sense of that sentence fragment at all.
I don't see the word "Hyundai" anywhere on my engine, nor anywhere else in the engine compartment. And the only place "Genesis" appears is on the 3.3 engine cover.

Genny got a bath today. The hybrid ceramic wax sealant that I applied after claybar over 2 months ago is holding up great!
