Oh, I get it. GM didn’t want to sell a vehicle.Oh, I get it. GM didn’t want to sell a vehicle.
You seem to be fixated on high speed. I’m fixated on smooth operation, plus less bitching about what might have been.
As I’ve said, apply gradual pressure to da pedal.
The Deal made by Lutz was that the Australian government was going to pay GM a relatively large amount of cash (Around $60 million, I think) if they imported at least X number of Holdens. GM tried to figure out how to sell just import just enough get the cash. Their first plan was the Caprice to be sold to law enforcement. When they were still short Lutz (always a high performance guy) decided to make up the shortfall with the SS. They imported just enough of them to get the cash. So yeah, GM really did not want to sell any more of them or do you have a better excuse as to why there was no SS advertising ever done?

Partially correct. I wanted a sporty, large, comfortable, powerful car with AWD. As I have said the G80 has the large, comfortable, AWD part locked in. It is even relatively powerful, but sporty not so much, even thought the model name is Sport. I paid my money so if I want to complain about a known issue with the G80 I most certainly will.

Is there one other person on this entire forum who thinks that "gradual pressure" will yield lower ETAs? Anyone? Don't be shy....
Well you must be right, I just worked for GM for nearly 20 years, owned 2 SSs and spent a large amount of time on the SS forums discussing SS issues but what do I know? You could try spending 20 minutes on Google before you declare someone is wrong about a subject you don't have a clue about. If you don't like my opinions (on my thread) just ignore them and go elsewhere. I opened this thread to discuss an issue I have my G80 not to fight with pigs in the mud......
