If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

GENESIS REPORTS JUNE AND HALF-YEAR 2020 SALES

You have a "connection with GMA management" but previously referred to a "friend working in the local Genesis dealership" for information about G90 sales? And now you're questioning the legitimacy of a dealer who has been known on this site?

Dude.... what is your problem? How do you manage to never maintain a consistent alibi or opinion without contradicting yourself over and over? If you have industry connections, show them instead of larping like this.

My GMA connection will not give out internal document or data directly to me, he can only tell me what I want him to verify is true or false; and take my suggestion into consideration.

My friend working at a dealership, instead can let me look at what GMA send to them (and of course, will not allow me to photocopy it).

Therefore, I can combine information from different sources to get the whole picture.

Again, why wasting time on something or someone you do not believe in?

The G70 sales is concerning. Compared to the Lexus IS, which is on a really old platform and is very outdated in many consumers' point of view, still outsells the G70 by a large margin.

Yeah, not buying it. You've verified absolutely nothing.

You question the legitimacy of a known member like GarnetTy1473, who has given his real name and the dealership he works at- while you yourself providing nothing to establish your own legitimacy other than claiming that you have different contradicting connections that you never go into any detail about.

Tell me how this is fair for you, a nobody, to bribe him for sales information like that? This is a farce, and you need to stop playing make-believe.

Oh, and just in case you decide to be fishy and completely re-edit your post like you did before, I've kept it here for everyone to see you bribing him:
Would you mind telling me which dealership you are working for? I have connection with GMA management and am able to verify whether a statement is true or false. Upon validated, If your dealership is indeed so lacking of G90 inventory, I may be able to help you to get as many G90 as you want, as long as you can sell them in time.

Could you provide the below information to me? Thank you.

1. VIN of all 2020 G90 your dealership have sold in the past 2 months;
2. What are the other dealerships name that you are going to "buy" their G90 stock;
3. VIN of the G90s that you are going to "buy" from other dealerships.

To make it clear, I do not intend to establish anything here. If you do not believe, just say you do not believe, that's it, no one here force to believe anything. In fact previously I even provided you the option to not believe me, why do you not taking that option? Wasting time again and again on something, this only proves that you indeed believe this is true.

You literally just tried to bribe a dealership for their private sales information. You literally just pulled off a phishing scam. And this is the best response you can come up with?

Dude, it's over. The jig is up.

VIN of cars sold is not private info, it is public information shown on each dealership's website (even the dealership removed the listing after the vehicle is sold, the information is still in many search engine's time machine cache)

However, information like the actual sales price of each transaction, or to whom the car was sold to etc., are private information, therefore I did not ask him for those information.

Please rest assure that I am very familiar with the US laws and regulations, I won't ask for, or disclose information which I am not suppose to. And I want to second that, you are welcome to not believe what I said and I take no responsibility of any outcome you may face by either believing or disbelieving me.

Again you are still not answering my question, I have asked you many times: why do you keep wasting time on something or someone you do not believe?

I don't have access to that info. Only my GM or my Genesis Sales Mgr can get that info.

But, I'm sure if there were vehicles available for us to get, we'd get them. My owner is on the Genesis dealer council, and has been since the inception of the Genesis brand, he talks to Mark Del Rosso weekly, if not more, and YTD, we are the #1 selling Genesis dealer in the central region. Last month, we sold twice what the rest of the Genesis dealers in the Indy area sold combined.

I talked to my GMA contact earlier this morning, and he said as of today, your dealership still have at least three 2020 G90s sitting in the inventory for many days unsold (one of them is more than 30 days), so he cannot allocate more G90 inventory for your dealership at this moment. You region 46060 currently has a total of 8 G90s, if your dealership can sell the existing 3 units in a timely fashion, corporate can allocate more for you.

We do have 3. The black with blue interior is our oldest. It's been here since June 5th. The red one, June 30th, and the white one, July 1st. So 2 of them I wouldn't consider "many days." IIRC, in our meeting this morning, they have a deal working on the white one.

Yeah, I don't buy the interior space argument. The ATS, XE and Guila don't sell because they aren't top competitors in the segment. They all have their own issues.

I think Stinger sales are still higher because the Genesis brand still lacks recognition and the G70s have no showroom. The Stinger is in all Kia showrooms, so people walk in, see it and get up sold for all the right reasons.

All 3, like the G70, sacrificed interior space for more optimal handling.

All 4 are/were considered to be a good bit better than the G20 when it came to driving experience, but that's towards the bottom of the list in importance for the majority of lux buyers; the LS 500 made CR's list of vehicles that owners are the least satisfied with and it's the best handling LS, but does the traditional flagship duty stuff less well.

Doubt Genesis is any less well known than the Stinger (Stinger owners constantly complain about the lack of advertising and how so many people inquire as to what they are driving).

The lower # of dealerships likely has played some role, but like I have been saying, the new G80 will outsell the smaller/cheaper G70.

At a time when an ever increasing # of buyers are moving to CUVs and SUVs for the greater utility and space, not the best thing to do in offering a sedan that lags behind the best sellers when it comes to utility and space.

It's the major reason why the Camaro went from outselling the Mustang to presently getting whooped by it (as well as being outsold by the ancient Challenger), ever since it switched over to the same packaging challenged Alpha platform as the ATS.

Most buyers don't care that it is the quickest around a track; and while the Challenger is a boat in comparison, many buyers would rather have usable rear seats.

Another banner sales month for Genesis in Korea, once again breaking its monthly sales record - 13,315 (48,866 YTD).

That’s about 1k more than what Acura sold here in the US, and at a much higher price point.

G90 - 701 (4,675)
G80 - 7,905 (22,489)
G70 - 981 (4,715)
GV80 - 3,728 (17,007)

K9 - 855 (4,145)
Stinger - 305 (1,396)
Mohave - 2,548 (11,008)

E Class - 4,020 (14,651)

Looks like the G80 (and the GV80) has eaten into G90 sales.

Despite being on an ancient platform, the FL Mohave is selling pretty well in Korea.

Wouldn't be surprised if Kia updates or replaces the Mohave using the GV80's platform (things for the Stinger, otoh, don't look so good even with 2 good months of sales in the US).

The past 2 months of G80 sales in Korea is almost equivalent to the entire sales total for the RLX (2013 to YTD) in the US.
