I currently use Technicians Choice ceramic spray for simplicity and I was doing some research on some alternatives and the next big thing. I came across a guy's detailing channel and he said that graphene is the next big thing. It's not big yet, trickling in, but will hit the market huge because graphene is so much tougher than ceramic and has the same simple application.

Has anyone here tried a graphene coating instead of ceramic? If so, your thoughts?

Thanks

No idea they had graphene coatings. In theory should be incredible. Subscribed.

A couple of youtube videos/channels covering graphene...

and Brian at Apex brings it up...

Bumping an old thread. Anybody tried a graphene based coating yet? I'm thinking I'll try this on my next coating application. Until then, my current ceramic coating is still holding up well.

My Ceramic is also holding up well, but I have my car washed every other week

I'm pulling the trigger on graphene in another month or so. I don't know which is best but the 2 I see the most are SPS and Artdeshine.

Looking forward to your thoughts about the product you choose.

I just did a ceramic coat this weekend. Used AvalonKing came out great. Did my wife's car as well. Now I'm looking for a topper to maintain.. anyone have experience with The Last Coat? Not sure if its worth the extra cost over Turtle wax or Maguiars

The Last Coat is great and very easy to use. Just make sure you get TLC2, which has the upgraded formula and is almost clear compared to the cloudy original version.

If you're referring to Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Spray Coating, that's a really good product too, and what I'm using right now. I can't tell which one lasts longer as I'm still on my first 2 coats of Turtle Wax, but TLC2 does seem to offer a deeper shine as well as repels water just a bit better. Turtle Wax's price point though makes it a great deal.

yes that one! Good to hear, Since I already have coat of ceramic it supposed to be good for 2-5yrs, its a actual 9h ceramic not spray so I just want something to apply as topper between car washes to make it last as long as possible. Think I will start with the turtle wax 13 bucks only.

Me too! I've been seeing an increase of graphene reviews on YouTube but don't know anyone that has applied it to their vehicle.

Resuscitating this. The apocalypse delayed but I'm pulling the trigger on graphene in about 2 weeks.

Has anyone else done graphene yet?

I have Cquartz finest on my car and use Carpro Reload. It is excellent.

Curious as to this new treatment. Looking forward to someone posting after they have had it done.

I've got Chemical Guys Hydroslick on mine now and my first application was a month ago...still beading nicely. It was my first time applying something like that and my next go around I will apply Hydro Charge on top of the Hydro Slick (call it a PB&J combo lol) and I have Hydrosuds (SiO2 based soap) to maintain probably every other wash. Just use their Honeydew snowfoam for routine washes...great products so far, but this graphene is definitely interesting! Anxious to see results.

Did you pull the trigger yet? Which graphene coating are you planning on using and why: ArtDeShine or SPS?

I'm planning on doing graphene but will wait till late August as I still have my Meguiar's M21 on and also want the graphene on before winter.

No, I got tied up with one of our IT contracts so I have been a little preoccupied. But I did some research and will go with ArtDeShine or Ethos. The apex detailing channel on youtube does a great job at testing different products and so far looks like either ArtDeShine or Ethos is the way to go. I am ordering later this week.

Ordered the Ethos and their Detox and D3FY. Now the work starts: Clay bar, paint correction and stripping. I plan to take before and after pictures. Will update when I'm done. I'm hoping to be able to put on 2 coats. Just turned 48K. Even though my trim is chrome, I wonder if the graphene will protect the black chrome from peeling

Can't wait to see the results. What coating do you have on now, if any?
