  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

What happened here?

Wrecker cut up the car for parts. Probably a serious side impact accident.

From the markers / stickers on the sides, I am guessing a crash test vehicle.

It would be weird for them to ship the cars from a Korean test to a Tennessee Wreaking yard. But maybe they got a batch deal.

Could be from the IIHS testing site and I assume that is done here in the states? Those markings look like the slo-mo measurement markers the high speed cameras use for stuff. If this was a test vehicle, surprised it did not go straight to a crusher. I guess cutting it in half assures it will never see the road.

If you look at the yard photos you can see the car next to it has the the Korean test institute numbers on it so looks like to got them from Korea. Could be US market cars they tested. Who knows.

I was browsing ebay for potential accessories and this photo and advertisement appeared. I ceased my search at that point and spent some time trying to determine what was depicted. Thanks for the help but still wonder who sells halves of cars from Korea to junkyards in Tennessee.
