  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Free Navigation Update - Download

I just downloaded it...the .ini files show it's the same version I got for cheap in May. Oh well...guess I should have waited ;-)

I ordered the update a couple months ago as well. I have yet to do the install. As you said... I guess I should have waited ;-)
The update a couple of months ago is more than the present one that just has some additional roads and POIs. The changes are listed on the web site.

In the eligible vehicles, it lists 8" & 9.2" touch screens. Does this mean it excludes the rotating knob? I have the 9.2 with the knob, it also has a touch screen and I might be wrong, but I thought the 9.2" was the knob/touch screen and the 8" was touch only. EdP, are you saying this August update has no change compared to the previous paid upgrade, or does this update the maps? Thanks in advance.

The 9,2 has the knob, the 8" does not.
Version 14 had some updates such as screen colors and a few other functions. Version 14.5 (available 8/25) is minor, roads and POIs, but if you skipped 14 it should have it all combined.

Version 14 took about 40 minutes to install, 14.5 took about 2 minutes.
