  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Visual cues to indicate if 2019 G70 is equipped with Optional features?

A lot of listings tend to be inaccurate, ambiguous, or misleading. I've been using the Genesis G70 brochure (see page 29) but it doesn't tell you what features come in what trim. I wish Genesis had a cheat sheet where you could easily tell if certain features meant other other features came with it, too (hypothetical example: having Lexicon speakers means you also have the fancier High Resolution Nav system).

What are the best visual cues (i.e. buttons, extra sensors, etc.) to indicate if a G70 is equipped with the below Optional features? I assume both 2.0 AWD and 3.3 AWD in the 2019 MY share the same visual cues.
  • Surround View Monitor
  • Heads Up Display
  • High Resolution Navigation System with HD+ Traffic
  • Heated Steering Wheel (I think this is standard on all AWDs?)
  • Parking Distance Warning
  • Electronic Stability Control with Traction Control System
  • Regular Leather vs. Quilted Nappa Leather
  • Heated & Ventilated Seats
  • Heated Rear Seats
  • Power Tilt and Telescopic Steering Wheel
  • Power-folding & Auto-dimming Side Mirrors
  • Auto-leveling Headlights
  • Low Beam Assist
Thanks in advance!

The surround view has a button next to the shifter. Head up display is easily seen as the projector is on the dash in front of the driver at the windshield. Parking distance warning button on console next to shifter. Heated and ventilated seats have button on dash between the rotary ventilation controls. These interior devices are what I look for on internet photos of cars for sale to be sure the feature is on that car. Power folding mirrors are on cars with the features I mention above (I think). Others can participate. Is this the type of cue you mean?

Thank you, both. That's REALLY helpful.

Are there ever any instances where a feature from the Elite, Prestige, or Sport package will be included in the Base ("Advanced") trim? For instance, the car having the Nappa Leather with Quilting but nothing else from the Prestige package?

Also, what features are a part of the Dynamic Trim? I saw that referenced in the brochure.

The option package’s are tiered. Elite then you can add Prestige and then Sport.

If it is a 2.0...and the "HTRACK" emblem is on the right rear next to the 2.0 T...you know that you have a Prestige and all of the goodies...

If the wheels are 19's instead of 18's...Sport package added.

I thought H-TRAC was just an indicator for AWD?

Yes, good point about the larger Sport-trim wheels.

If you have AWD in a G70 2.0...most likely it is because it is included in the Prestige package....a few cars might be ordered with the $2000 AWD option as a stand alone on the base model....

If it’s used the could have swapped for the sport wheels and not really a sport. Would need the copper headlamp accents and the dark chrome trim too.

In the NY/NJ area, nearly every AWD 2.0 on the market is the Advanced Trim. I WISH it were easier (where AWD meant having the Prestige Trim)...

In the Atlanta area...I never see an AWD that is in Advanced trim....no snow, I reckon.

And there is no high resolution Navigation screen. It's VGA. Not even 720p.

That sucks about the screen. My wife's Subaru Legacy is bright and crisp (I think it's 720p?). Even though the G70 is awesome in so many ways, it makes me wish Genesis integrated the Hyundai-tech from the new Sonata and Palisade much sooner than the upcoming 2022 model year.

It's probably because they started working on the G70 3-5 years before it was released and so had to use what they had in hand.
Saying that, the 2019 and 2020 Nav unit is classified as the 5th Gen. Same as the 2019 and 2020 Sorento. 2016-2018 Sorento was Gen 4.

Interesting, then the elder sibling G80 must all be Gen 4? The G80 tech in general seems older than what's used in the G70.

And then the newest Sonata and Palisade must be Gen 6?

Not sure. The new Map downloader app classifies them.
I've only downloaded the Map for my 2019 Sorento and checked out the one for the G70. Didn't pay attention to the other models.
My wife's 2019 Sorento Nav is 100% identical to the 2019 G70.
