Trim Discolored

I have a 2018 G80 sport, black with copper trim. Noticed the trim is discolored. I call Geneses Customer Service and was told this is an issue and to contact the dealer. Has anyone else noticed this?

Plenty of discussions here on the dark chrome trim discoloration problems across models. Some have been replaced under warranty and some had their dealers polish it until regular chrome color remained and no more dark chrome. Not my idea of a repair. Do some searching on trim discoloration.

I have my G80 sport for about 3 months and after I got my car back from the dealership for some rattle and armrest fabric issue. I notice that the dark chrome trim around the doors starting to discolor. I see spots everywhere on the chrome. Pieces started to look like it was from a 15 year...

Mine has the same. Dealer had the window trim polished so now it's silver. But the door handles are doing the same thing. Instead of polishing, i think Genesis should offer to pay for a wrap. One and done deal.

Had the trim replaced two times on 2019 g70 for the same issue Genesis took care of it under warranty. Still having problems

Mine did the same and after reading all the comments and the dealership just having it polished down to silver, I decided to go ahead and trim out in black vinyl.
