  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Anyone else have their headlights turn off, sometimes, when you turn on the turn signals, or touch the turn signal stick. Mine is doing it every once in a while. Don't drive at night much so I forget about it. It is a little concerning. Anybody?

This has actually happened to me a few times. The last time it happened. I toggled the headlights from Auto to On and Off, thinking it was something wrong with the auto switch. Coincidently it hasn't happened since. Fingers crossed.

I "feel" it is the stalk its self. Don't really know.
I like your black headlight buckets.

there is a problem with the stalk. keeping light on on vs auto will prevent it from happening. Obviously you could also take it in to be serviced but the verified fix is if they cut off put on ON position or just manually turn on and off and never worry

But then the headlights are on all the time. Right?

no, what I mean is when you need your headlights to manually turn them on vs using auto and turn them off when you don't need headlights. The problem is in the stalk with autoheadlights on there is some type of error where the headlights will shut off. Typically happens when in auto headlight and using turn signal. Very sporadic and hard to duplicate. If your lights are in auto and cut off switch to the on position and they will cut on. just cut off when exiting vehicle

Was anybody ever able to get fixed? Took it to dealership service 3 times, and they couldn’t duplicate and didn’t repair.

It's the multi-function switch. They extended the warranty to 15 years / unlimited miles on the 2015/2016 Genesis Sedan for this problem. I don't know if they did anything for the Equus, but I suspect it uses the same part. (The replacement part is a revised part number.)
