  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Wondering can i install 20 inch low profile tire on my genesis and will there be handling and performance issues

use tiresize.com to see something comparable in overall height and circumference. it might be possible. if you are looking to move up a size for better tire selection, you may want to consider moving down as well, to an 18" or even a 17" wheel.

At present I'm on 18 and thought of going higher to 19 to drive better in the winter as the winter in ottawa is not that great for low profile wheels

if you want better ride and to be less-susceptible to pothole induced damage, you want to go with a higher aspect ratio tire. because there is only so much real estate under the wheel arches, this usually means stepping down in wheel size. My '15 5.0 has 19" wheels all around. I think that moving downwards to a 17" or 18" wheel, while increasing the aspect ratio of the tire would bring me closer to the same overall height and circumference of the original wheel. not sure if a 16" wheel is possible due to brake rotor size, but generally smaller wheels allow for more tire, which will get you what you are looking for.

Thanks jayel. I ended up in picking spare oem rims with sensors and mounted same size winter tires. Now it seems much comfort now. Will update more once the snow hits
