  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I was considering going with blue but thought yellow would contrast well with the Siberian Ice paint. What do you all think?

I appreciate the honest replies!

Tacky tacky tacky!

A lot of dislikes but I say if you like it, go with it. Who cares what others think, if you like it?

It's all good. I'm a fan. It's a nod to certain classes in IMSA and Sports car racing and also enjoy the extra contrast with all the rain/fog in the PNW.

To be fair, he asked what others think - so he does care.

Like OP, I may love something I've done to my car but still care about others opinions.
I'm totally cool with the varying opinions. Life would be pretty boring if we all dug on the same thing.

Not my bag, but even if mods aren't to my taste, I enjoy seeing other people trick out their cars the way they want, be it lighting mods (other than the obnoxiously-bright kind), body kits, donks on huge chrome wheels, rice rockets, murdered out euro-cars, you name it...

...unless it's stancing. Stancing is unforgiveable.

Nope on the yellow. I have clear Lamin-X on my G70. You have to have some skills and patience to install. Lamps are definitely not flat.

Many curse words were uttered to be sure.

no opinion.

but a question..

what is the point? is it for safety? i.e. driving in the snow or foggy areas, where yellow light is better reflected than white light, if that is the case then go for it.

if it is for looks.. well to each their own.. but if you are going yellow.. I would paint those calipers yellow to match.. JMHO

That's the main reason. No fog lamps for our cars and I live in permamist PNW.

grew up and learned to drive in NY (Albany) in the 70s-80s, we always replaced the high beams on a quad beam car, with yellow low beams during the winter.. or tacked on yellow fogs if they were dual beam cars.

I would still consider matching yellow calipers. would make the look flow better.

Looks nice to me... I would wrap the mirror caps to match the yellow color just like DTM cars.

I know what the yellow references so I like it. I also see the yellow look on a ton of japanese/korean stuff overseas, so I get it lol. I would totally do it on my car if I didn't do so many night roadtrips.
