  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I’ve just bought a 2020 G70 Sport 3.3 demo from a Canadian dealer. I love it, but have noticed 2 problems.
The Heads up display works great at night but unable to see during the day. I’ve tried different settings with success. Any ideas?
The second thing I’ve noticed is when I put the car in park, the audio volume increases substantially. ?
Thanks

During the day are you wearing polarized sun glasses? If so, take them off

Thanks for the suggestion but I have tried with or without sunglasses, no change. I think it might have something to do with the cars recognizing day vs night.
Any more suggestions or settings I should try?

You can adjust the brightness.

Also...decreased audio in R is normal. Safety feature so you’re not distracted.

Thanks, I have the brightness at maximum, so it must be something else.
Regarding the volume, it’s happens from Drive to Park as well.
I noticed something else today, it’s the first time it’s raining since I have had it, the auto wipers dont turn on, and it was a very hard rain. One I initiated the wipers, they would not continue in auto.
Better get the dealer have a look at my 3 problems.

The volume auto lowers once the front camera is activated when you go to park, just as the volume is reduced in reverse.

With the wipers you can adjust the speed/sensitivity of the wipers if you rotate the selector in the middle of the stalk. I've found if the wipers don't want to start increasing the sensitivity setting helps, and conversely if they don't want to stop then reducing the sensitivity helps out.

Thanks so much, the volume issues now makes perfect sense.
The 2 issues that seem to persist ..the HUD and the wiper will be discussed with the dealership.
thanks Guys

Talking about Heads Up Display. Does anyone have a preferred color they use?

JFYI, I just get new 2021 G90 5.0. Before I had 2018 G90 3.3. On my old car, I can change color - my preferred was green. It look like the new model have only one default set color for white, HOWEVER! It WILL change color when you drive over speed limit. It slowly start going from white to orange to plain red, depend how much you exceeding the speed limit.

I'm still trying to figure it out. if I like it or not..... ;-)

Thanks! I will have to futz with it. I like the idea it will change colors depending on speed....

I'd find it annoying as it would always be changing on local roads. I know when I'm above the speed limit without a nag.

I just stick with white. I also like vanilla ice cream so maybe I'm just a purist.

I never had an issue with it. The salesperson counsel me to use green which is the one with better visibility

Congrats on the new G90, but the color change would drive me crazy. I often drive a bit over the limit, and the limit in the system isn't always accurate to begin with. Are you sure there's no way to make it work the old way? Personally, I prefer orange.
