Headlight (low beam) bulb for 2012 genesis 4.6

I need to replace the low beam bulb in my 2012 Genesis 4.6. I think it uses the HID type but I’m not sure. The Owners Manual does not say what type of bulb to use. Anyone know the OEM type and have any guidance on how to replace? Any special tool needed? Thanks. BTW I’m new to the group.

I pulled the right front light assembly out and answered my own question. The OEM low beam bulb is an OSRAM XENARC 66140 D1S 35W(watt) made in Germany. I ordered a new pair of the exact OEM type from eBay and they wrongly sent me Philips D1S 35W bulbs which may be equivalent but are not what was advertised or what I ordered - so beware of some eBay sellers. Removing the light assembly was not easy but doable once I realized that I had to disconnect the bumper and lower it to allow enough clearance to pull the light assembly forward and out. The top of the light assembly is flat but the bottom has a bump down section which is why you have to lower the bumper to allow room to pull the assembly forward. Hope this helps other DIYers.

I have a question... what bulbs are used for your turn signals? I have a 2013 and when I changed them to led I was surprised to see they were not the "typical" but were a PSY24W bulb. I am wondering if 2013 was the only year they used those bulbs.

Sorry to say that I did not take note of what kind of original bulb was used for the turn signal or for the other bulb functions when I pulled my light assembly.

did you send the Philips back? if not how was the light output? i find the oem one's not bright at all. would like to change to a higher one if possible

I did not send the Philip bulbs back. I installed them. They seem to be about the same light output ... they are the same wattage. Be careful about installing bulbs with higher wattage that may get hotter. I read of a few people who installed hotter bulbs that resulted in some melted adjacent parts - bad news.
