  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

What is truly needed for a 30K service for my 2015, 5.0 v8 Genesis besides an oil change?

I would just change the oil, rotate tires, air filter and cabin filter.

Moving this topic into the proper section.

Fully synthetic motor Oil and filter change
Spark plugs
Fuel filter
Air intake filter
AC filter
Check all fluids
Optionally, I would strongly suggest replacing the transmission ATF too.
Check battery voltage
Run a full OBD scan for codes.

Good luck!

According to the manual plugs are not needed. Air filer should have beenreplaced at 22.500 miles and again at 45,000

From the manual:
Spark plugs Replace every 97,500 miles (156,000 km)

That is what the dealer told me. I said to them I am aware, just humor me. They did and I am glad I did it. Made a difference, so smooth up shifts and much smoother down shifts. Had my 5.0 done at 33k.

I've heard that flushing isn't good for an AT... My Indie mechanic does 3x fill & drain, especially if it's got any kind of mileage on it. All I do is pay for the extra fluids.

Yes I agree, however they just removed and replaced fluid. They did not do a flush perse . I highly recommend having it done. I am not hard on my Genny and all of my driving is 65mph plus, not a whole lot of shifting going on. Not like city driving. 👍
