  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hey all, I am new to the forum and just picked up my gently used 2013 genesis sedan 3.8! Vehicle is nearly new with only 37xxx km on it, one owner previous to myself, and has never seen winter. I owned a few mustangs previous to this but, needed more room for my growing family. I wanted to do so without sacrificing the joy of driving lol and I think I accomplished that with this car.

The car is all stock currently, but I would like to upgrade the exhaust, intake, and put a posi in. Anyone have a link for aftermarket? I am having a hard time finding anything.

Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the Genesis world. To have such low miles is a great find congrats. As for your upgrades first and foremost upgrades for our cars are either rare or discontinued since it was heavily modified like the coupes are. You can custom your own exhaust with resonator delete or muffler delete or if you want a catback get the Magnaflow Catback exhaust made for 09-11 4.6L as I did with my 3.8 and bolts right up. I would drop in a K&N air filter and leave it at that but if you want a cold air intake you will have to try and seal it from the hot engine bay. I’m sure if you type in search words there should be a forum for everything you need. Hope this helps!

Thanks for the info! I've seen a few videos on YouTube of an exhaust system or resonator delete, I'll likely go the route of a resonator delete as it's easy to reverse if needed. The only other thing I'm going to do is tint the windows really. I couldn't find a K&N Filter, so I just put in a OEM one. The vehicle still had the original air filter from 2013 LOL. Coming from owning Mustangs over the last 12 years I wasn't sure I would enjoy driving a sedan, but this car is a pleasure to drive. It is very comfortable, has lots of power, and having a rear wheel drive is a bonus

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
If you go to oreillyauto.com is where I bought a 2012 3.8L for mine which our motors are the same. They have it to deliver to your house.

Nice! I bought my 2013 fully loaded 3.8 back in 2018 and it only had 21,000 miles and paid 11K for it. I love this car, but I def wish that there was an aftermarket for it.
