  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Who has the 2021 Genesis GV70 at the top of their list?

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
It's at the top of my list for now. I'm trying to decide if I should pre-order or wait until the GV70s are on the dealer lot. Do we have any Genesis insiders on the forum?

I’m most certainly waiting for the GV70! I’d canceled my order for the GV80 3.5T since I can get the same engine in a smaller and probably slightly faster package

After 13 BMWs, 2 Audis and 1 Mercedes I'm going to give Genesis(Hyundai) a shot. The one downside is our local Hyundai dealer doesn't look like they will be selling the Genesis line. I understand they will offer pickup and delivery service but not sure how far they will travel. I just watched a 30 minute video that covered both models of the GV70. Narrated by a Korean fellow in Korea. He was 6'2" and fit very well in both the front and rear seats. Cargo space looks to be a little tight due to the sloping roof but the interior was very nice looking. I look forward to an opportunity to see and test drive one next year.

Genesis dealer delivered 2020 model g70 as loaner for g80 service. Strikingly good looks inside and out. Comfort mode driving is great. Had all the amenities of my 2019 G80 Ultra. But... both wife and I found it hard to get in/out of (we are of the older generation). We also found that the engine noise, wind noise and shifting were more noticeable than my g80 or her 2014 Hyundai Genesis. Nevertheless I would consider it for a second car if the option presents itself. Overall I like the auto and probably should not expect it to be quite as quiet as it's bigger brother. There is no doubt that Genesis builds great cars at very competitive prices when you factor in what you would pay for an equivalent Mercedes Lexus, Audi or or similar.

We do. You must mean Charlie Min (Asian Petrolhead on Youtube) he does great reviews and I am also 6'2".
We liked the G70 a lot but it was a little tight. The GV70 does have a larger cabin according to Charlie.
We will test drive the new Santa Fe Calligraphy as soon as one arrives at our local Genesis/Hyundai, slated for end of January. I really wish there was a definite intro date for the GV70.

If I was an SUV guy, it would be a slam dunk but more likely it will be the next generation G70 for me. I love my current G70

After watching Hyundai’s and Kia’s SUV design over the last couple of years, I’m a little disappointed that Genesis followed their lead in the rear blinker location for the GV70. I believe that putting the turn signals in the lower bumper is the worst possible location for visibility/ safety. I’ve noticed on several occasions that the second car behind a Hyundai Santa Fe almost run into the car directly behind the Santa Fe because he couldn’t see the Santa Fe’s blinker was on. The higher the lights are, the easier they would be for all of the vehicles behind to see (3rd brake light for example). I like a lot of what I’ve seen so far about the GV70, but unfortunately the terrible blinker location may be enough of a reason to eliminate the GV70 as a replacement for my wife’s current SUV.

This is at the top of the list for my next daily driver. I will most likely wait for the second model year like we did for our Telluride SX/P. Also - really hoping that Genesis puts the G70 tachometer in the digital dash with the needle sweeping the correct way.

The GV70 sport is my favorite two row SUV from any manufacturer at the moment. Can't wait to go test drive one this coming spring/summer.

I think the GV70 is on the top now , I own Stinger GT and have owned several BMWs including X5 and X6 s but this GV70 seems to tick all the boxes I have .................I was pretty sure the Telly fully loaded was it until they announced the GV70 was getting the new 3.5TT , its as fast as the Stinger but with more practicality and I can tow

We have a 2021 Telluride SX Prestige and love it. With three kids we had to have a three row SUV...and for my wife - the Telluride has all the power she needs for "soccer mom" duty. It has been a great vehicle. The GV70 Sport will be my daily diver. Will hold off for a 2023 model to avoid any first year issues that all new cars seem to have these days.

I agree - this will be fast yet more room than the G70. Crossing my fingers that the final output of the GV70 sport has more power than the standard 3.5TT model. When Asian Petrolhead did his video at the release - it was obvious the GV70 Sport's V6 was different than every other application of the 3.5TT engine we have seen to-date. Really hoping that means more power!!!

Honestly I doubt it , but it may have a nicer exhaust note , it has more power than most will need I think

^ Likely more power for the 3.5TT in the G80 Sport (and if there is a GV80 Sport), but maybe not for the GV70 Sport in order to differentiate them.

That being said, the most fun GV70 may very well end up being the 2.5T in RWD (lighter weight, still plenty of power).

Time will tell. If they could find a way to hit the magic 400 HP figure - it would be a huge differentiator in the market.

I'll bet it will dyno over 400 , the Koreans understate their HP

Most likely the wife's next car so she won't drive my G70 anymore. ;)
Hers now is a 2020 Santa Fe 2.0T but she likes to drive the G70 more than hers and I do not blame her
I just finished playing w/ the "build my Genesis" in the Korean web site for roughly 52K USD for a 2.5T HVAC very nicely equipped trim.
