Genesis g80 2017 ultimate Apple CarPlay

Hello everyone, I just recently bought a 2017 genesis g80 3.8 AWD Ultimate 03 trim. I was wondering if Apple CarPlay is something I can get on this car by updating it or going into the dealer to get it done. I’m happy with the car but going from having Apple car play to now not being able to have it really sucks. Please help.

Nope, not happening in the Ultimate until 2018. The head unit will not support it even with new software.

Wow well that’s a bummer. So pretty much only way to get it would be installing a new radio in it?

I would think trying to change out HU will be nothing but problems and lots and lots of$$

If you price out a stock head unit you will probably find it cheaper to trade up to a 2018. I'm not sure it is that simple though.

If you wanted apple carplay for 2017 you should of gotten the premium package instead of the ultimate. But you probably had reasons for the ultimate, or just didnt know ahead of time.

It does stink. Hey I lost my key fob in the car and can’t find it. Any ideas on a hiding spot it might be in?
