  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Genesis Model Type
2G Genesis Sedan (2015-2016)
I have a 2015 hyundai genesis. I brought this car with about 24k on it. The tranny went out at about 28k.
I did a fluid and filter which is built into the pan. It ran great for awhile until it died again at about 37k. Both times it had the same problem. It just broke! No signs of anything slipping just broke. After it broke It would slip and bang into gear. It would rev high and then engage. I am looking at getting a remanufactured one through hyundai but thats $$ or trying to find a low mile used one.
That being said my manufacture date is 3 of 2014 wouldn't that make it a 2014?
I thought auto manufacturers do it after June then its the next year model.
But I have seen a date for some used ones saying up to 6/27/14. And then after 6/27/14.

No, you have a 2015 model year. Tradition was the fall and it started under FDR. There have been many exceptions.
