  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Now that we're receiving our Arctic Blast here in Texas, I've noticed that I'm not really getting much in the way of heat. Occasionally it comes back with a restart. Wondering if my recent battery/alternator replacement screwed something up. Is there any way to do a "reset"?

I've generally done it by unplugging the HVAC controls and plugging them back in a few minutes later. Could probably pull a fuse, but I never bothered to look it up. But my blend door actuators are on the fritz anyway and I get nice chilly air coming from the left center vent all the time.

For whats it worth...Have not had this problem with my 16 Genesis. But had the exact problem with my wifes 13 Ford Edge. Dealer had to replace the in dash damper actuator since it would not open/close properly(plastic gears were messed up) when dash settings were calling for heat. Just an idea...hope you can get it figured out

I'll probably try the fuse thing next... It did bring my AC back to life a couple of years ago. Going to be too cold to mess with it for the next few days. Car is in the garage and I'm not going anywhere soon. Texans don't cope very well with frozen precip.
