Home screen freezes up

I killed Travel Link as part of my subscription today, but I do not have my car (have the wife's today). I will test tomorrow if just not having Travel Link solves the issue. I can always add it back later.
 
Thanks for your reply. Misery loves company apparently. I’ve written the CEO and VP of customer relations on Sunday evening. They have both constructive and actual notice of this product liability issue.
I’ve requested a response on my request to replace both my head unit and antenna. Let’s see what happens in the meantime.
Also not having recording capability on all eighteen presets is probably a sign that a true fix has not been implemented from the XM software side of things.
My navigation hard buttons are freezing up as well.

What mechanism did you use to “kill Travel Link”? Website? Or a call to XM/Sirius Customer Care? Or some other activity?

I am still awaiting a response from their executive relations team. They did respond two days ago with a canned email saying that they received my message but that their servers were down. Promising another reliance within 3 to 5 days.

In the meantime I still have XM data and Traffic with the following outputs

1. The system is no longer freezing or locking up however...

2. lost cancel route button when on an active navigation route. Can some one else who’s in software version 14.10 see if their cancel route button has been replaced with a pause route button on screen instead?

3. only have ability to record first six presets, missing the ability to record the remaining twelve presets. Again I’m not sure if this is a result of an XM bug or related to a bug in version 14.10 of the radio software from Map N Soft.

Isn't that from a semi recent map update, not related to this issue?
Press and hold pause, and that should cancel the route guidance.

thats what I was trying to ascertain. Can’t remember if this started after I did the software update or if it’s related to the XM bug.

Thank you for your timely response. My G80 is at the dealership right now, and I have a loaner. They called and said the car was “ready”, but told me they were still awaiting g a response from “Genesis Engineering “ and that they would not replace the head unit, antenna assembly or antenna wire.

I’ve been absolutely thrilled with the G80, and this is the only problem I’ve encountered.

I am looking at a 2021 G80, and have an appointment to talk with them about that potential purchase. I wonder if they will give me the full trade in value for my G80 in this condition? Their answer to that question should be interesting.

I’m also talking to them about a new Palisade for one of my daughters. That’s a significant income to the dealership.

I’ll provide the info you are looking for after I pick up my G80.

I don’t know about presets 7-17, but I’ll test that in Saturday when I pick up the car and let you know. I’ve only ever recorded on presets 1-6.

Now that you ask, I’m curious. Will let you know!
 
Well, still only shows REC on presets 1-6. So, that is still a potential issue.

We have a 2019 G80, 12,00 miles. We are experiencing the same issues, took it to our local dealer 2 days ago. Service manager stated he had to simulate the issue to fix , he never mentioned that others were having the exact same issue with nav and Xm. Channels freezing. He did say that there system to troubleshoot was down and has been down 2 months. He also stated that hurricane Sally’s power outage could have caused it! WOW! Our dealer is in Daphne, AL, service department is very poor.
 
my 2018 g80 sport is also sporadic behavior, but the past few days only one episode out of about 6 times behind the wheel, and only on the xm side as usual. i actually thought it was fixed a few days ago, only to have it happen one time, and the past few drives have been error free. my travel link appears to be working normal, so it does not appear as if it was shut down.
 
I need find a SD card reader for my 'puter. Those are becoming as rare as Beta-Max VCRs.
There is available, a jack/plug that will allow you to to connect a SD Card or Micro Card (dual use) by converting them to a USB port. I'e used it for downloading the Nav update - works well. The converter plug costs ~$10.00 at Best Buy.

That is indeed great news. My problem is that I still have the complimentary service for a couple of years and the rep at Sirius said that they would have to cancel everything and start over and that I would lose the complimentary service. I use the Traffic Link alot and the other I could live without. Any one know of a way to disable it from the radio?
