Transmission problems

I have a 2013 Hyundai genesis 3.8 sedan. I've noticed a hard pull between 2nd n 3rd gear. 20 to 40 miles an hour. Worried that this could be a transmission problem. If I step on the gas , depending on whatever the rpm increases to 3 to 4 thousand rpm. I let of the gas petal to keep it from blowing the motor..sometimes if I don't slow down in time to allow the car to shift down ... I hear a hard jerk .... not sure if I can safely, change transmission fluid myself. Or do I pay to have it done . So unsure....Is there a update for my car . Or do I need a new transmission .
Anyone have some advice for me. Thanks

I have same issue on 2012 Genesis Sedan 3.8L. Tranny fluid has never been changed and I am thinking of getting some advice from a transmission shop soon. The slipping doesn't always happen but when it does it's getting worse.

Wouldn't be surprised if you wind up with a new transmission. Happened to me the same way.
