  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Passenger side DRL is out on my 2015 Genesis and looking to replace with Sirius LEDs but the CK series seems to be out of stock on Amazon and on Sirius's website.

Sirius lists 2 types - the EK & KG Series - as a direct replacement but, unlike the description for the CK series, it doesn't say whether they can be used for DRLs.

Anyone here use them and if so, will they burn out quickly if used as DRL? Am I better off getting the Philips 2357NA Long life bulbs instead?

I'd be hesitant to say that they're approved for DRL considering they reduced the size of the heatsink.

On a side note my Triton V6's are still going strong after 45,000 miles.

I used the Sirius KG 1157s to upgrade mine.
They work just fine and are cooler (heat wise) than the OEM incandescent bulbs. Because the specs are almost the same, I didn't need to use the resistors that I purchased as well. No hyper-flashing, and they are brighter.

The standard OEM bulbs are rated at about 800 hrs. They were not designed to be on all the time, but just used as turn signals. That's why they burn out so quickly and get extremely hot when used as DRLs. The LEDs are rated at 30,000 hrs.
