I know this is a frustrating issue! I spoke with the manufacturer of the navi system for the 2009 genesis, Harmon Becker. The USA branches only handle audio for the vehicle. Navi is handled abroad from the parent company. No help.
I contacted MapNSoft yet another time. I was informed that the update IS AVAILABLE, however Hyundai has not authorized its release. The person I spoke with mentioned that Hyundai has not paid the requisite royalty fees as yet, therefore no release. I find that hard to believe, but obviously, something is wrong.
MapNSoft now says...once more..... that the update to the consumer, will be available by the end of February. How many months have we heard that in the past! End of November, end of December, end of January.....VERY, VERY frustrating!
I also then spoke with Genesis support and asked if they could escalate the information I was given regarding non-payment of royalties. Let's see what happens next.
