  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Using a paired Bluetooth device, does anyone know to do this? What about using a large (1 - 2GB) flashdrive loaded with MP3 files? I assume you just plug into the USB port in the console. I will test this tonight.

Thanks!

Welcome to our forum.

To the best of my knowledge, you cannot download your address book into the phone memory. Instead, you must enter each one by one.

I share your disappointment and was as surprised as you were. Regardless, once complete you'll enjoy the interface and its relative ease of use.

Sorry, the phone stands alone. All you can do is talk on it. Get a beer, go to the garage, start the car and crank up the A/C, put on some good tunes, and then.....start transcribing.:) A word of caution here before you start: consider how you want to store the names. This decision affects voice commands, caller ID and phonebook sorting. If you store last name first, phonebook sorting is optimized, but when caller ID comes up it will say: "Smith, James Cell" or whatever you put in the phonebook. The voice system searches for the entire phonebook name, so if you do last name first, you have to speak "Smith James Cell". A bit awkward compared to "Jim's Cell".

On the thumb drive, I run 2GB with a mix of MP3 and WMA files. Both are supported. You may wish to read the manual on how to structure the folders to make optimal use of the display. Have fun.

Disregard all of the above if you don't have the tech package. :D

Thanks! Yes - I installed a 2GB flashdrive loaded with tunes - works great. Between that and the XM radio, I have not even loaded the CD changer yet!

I use 8GB flash-drive almost full with MP3 music, works great. Furthermore, it reads Russian titles, I'm surprised:cool:
