  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Concidering what it cost I’m getting pretty disgusted with the Bluelink service, for the cost this service should work just about anywhere. Works fine in the Phoenix area but 10-15 miles away in the city of Suprise nothing doin’ cannot remote start the car or even lock the doors, should I talk with the service dept at my dealership or try contacting Bluelink directly?

Doubt the dealer can do much. Are you in a place with a good cell signal? Do you get a message back why it did not work? The signal goes from your phone to the BlueLink servers and back to the car by cell..I've had failures at times too, may 85% effective.

Hi Ed,
Don’t remember the complete message I received now on part said be sure the vehicle has been started in the last 2 weeks I think.
I’ll have wait til I’m in one of the 2 areas it happened at and do a screen grab to post.

I know if the car has not been started in some time (I think four days) the remote will not start it. Sucks if your car has been in the airport parking lot for a week in August in the south.

Really weird as say at my daughters house where the doors on the car couldn’t be locked they have excellent cell coverage never had a problem (4 phones iMacs etc.) we text, email them all the time .
Really would be interested to know if others have had this problem.

When you say excellent coverage, it depends on the cellular carrier. Which carrier are you referring to?
