  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Just discovered that the drivers side rear window is not operating, have seen any number of posts on this problem with the power windows,....unfortunately seems the search function is not working at this time had wished to search for any answers folks may have come across.
Can anyone point me towards some answers?

Finally got the search mode to work!👍🏻
Sooo the consensus seems to be its lack of use of the windows,,
Come’on were in our mid 70s and retired .....😒

Climate control works well! I don't think other than driver's window any have been down.

Had a Buick, same thing. Accidently hit the button one day and it went down but would not go up. Took off the panel and propped it up with a stick of wood. Six months later, same thing on the other side. Often wonder if the next owner ever tried to put them down.

if I don’t use the windows for couple of months, that condition have happened on both cars, I find presing the the windows button down and then up three times in quick succession kicks the window into life, I tried to get the dealer to address it, but I can’t demonstrate the issue, so their answer is the auto stop feature on the rear windows are too sensitive.

Please let us know if that method works for you as well?

Try the button again. Worked for me with both rear windows recently. And operate them once a month otherwise they get lazy.

Problem may be that I’m using the window controls in the drivers position rather than in the back seat....
Would that make a difference ?

As you may be aware, the buttons have two settings, the second click/notch is for the auto close / open, these must be engaged for that procedure to work.
also it might be worth while making sure that the windows lock feature is not engaged, which disables the back windows operation.

On Mine the passenger side rear window works fine it’s just the drivers sides one that’s not working....
That rules out the windows lock and the fuse, so if trying the switch trick does not work, a dealer visit might be worth while as the next step.
