Doors Lock with Key inside

Anyone know how the Genesis 2012 locks with the key inside. We have experienced this 2 times

It happened to my wife in my 2011. Turns out her key was dying so it didn't realize it was still in the car.

The same has happened to me (2011 also). I will look into the battery strength of my keyfob. Thanks

That seems like living very dangerously to me. The cars came with two keys, and support two keys. I would get another key (locksmith or dealer) now, before it becomes an emergency after your single key breaks or is lost.

dealership gave me one key lol...I had my car for 4 days before transmission took a sh*t, dealership had the car for the pass 2 week replacing it now, imagine that, bought a car for 15k dealership out at least 3k to replace transmission.

i always keep the FOB in my pocket..regardless...
that is scary. It has never happened to me....
