  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I noticed instructions for updating the navigation for my 2015 hyundai genesis 3.8 in the myhyundai website. Is the navigation update free now? I'm running the updater now.

free to download now, or you can buy media shipped for cheap like $25

Yes, both should be true ($25 + shipping costs), though they may not be ready to sell/ship the SD cards yet.

So whey did they make this change? Not that I'm complaining.

Around May of last year, if I remember correctly. I was looking at buying an update for my Cadenza, and suddenly it was $35 instead of $200 (or whatever it was, something close to that).

Bought the $25 card ( shipping was $21! Still overall a good deal ). Not too tech savvy, and didn't want to screw it up. Next time I'll try the download. This is the 1st time I've updated the maps since buying the car. Thought updates were way too expensive & got along fine with Apple Car Play maps. Update went fine. However, the updated "look" of the maps is kind of faint. It's difficult to read the street names against the background color. I've pecked around & cannot find an option to change the look. I have the 8" non-ultimate screen. Is there a way to modify the look, or am I wasting my time?

Well, right after posting the above question, I went back out and fiddled around some more & may have found my answer. Found 3 different backgrounds ( all pretty lame ). More important though, found a contrast adjustment & a font increase. Those help a lot.
