I didn't realize how much they changed up the packages for the refresh. The 3.3T starts $4k cheaper!

Genesis finally released the pricing for the updated 2022 G70 for North America. What does everyone think?

I know right? It's a little confusing. So the Sport Prestige AWD does not come with a Heated Steering Wheel but the Sport Prestige RWD does?? And I thought the variable exhaust system added 3 horsepower to make it 368hp like on the Kia Stinger?

maybe it's just me, but doesn't it feel like 12 separate trims is a few too many? 4 trims available for the 2.0T, and 8 trims with the 3.3T. that's a lot, and many trims are separated by only a couple grand. i get that the RWD vs AWD does add up, but still, that's a whole ton of production configuration for a relatively low volume vehicle.

the AWD models all get heated steering wheel. its listed under the standard AWD package.

If you go back to the 1950's, 60s you could order any set of options you wanted but making packages was a cost reduction. That said, 8 packages is silly because you will always want the one not available.

Maybe my approach is wrong, but if you are looking at a car stickering at $65000, is saving a thousand on a lesser package a deal maker/breaker? Sure, $5k may make a difference but 8 packages is silly.

really its just 2 2.0 trims and 3 3.3 unless you count the launch edition as a trim as well (i dont since its more of a limited run model than an optional trim)

AWD vs RWD isnt really a trim. so you have basically the same 3 options you had on the 3.3 as you had before, just renamed from standard, prestige and sport to standard, sport prestige, and sport advanced, and 1 less on the 2.0 (standard elite prestige to standard and prestige)

not uncommon for car manufacturers, even low production number ones, to have 3+ trims for each model (calling 2.0 g70 and 3.3 g70 different models since most manufacturers would call those 2 different model names. (330 vs m340 for example)
