So not sure WTF genesis was thinking on the cluster. The now off center display is very limited to what is was in my 2020. Can’t even display the speed which is what I always used to have it set to.
Also there is zero change to the clusters or colors when changing drive modes.
now the interesting thing is the the entire left side is all one screen. Hopefully they can correct some of these shortcomings with an over the air update.
Sport+ is awesome though. Equivalent to a track mode. they also did a great job with the new exhaust and new nav screen/system.

Thanks for sharing this, thats exactly what i was afraid of. I dont get it, GENESIS did a great job on the facelift but somehow gave us a very inferior cluster to the previous years. I’m in Canada and the dealer think we’ll get the same cluster but ill know next week when they receive their sport demo.

They received the Prestige models but these dont have bvm and therefore a different cluster. I would have preferred a std cluster than one that looks unfinished.

I really want to hear the new exhaust tone and try sport plus mode.
Nav is definitely a great improvment.

I hate the cluster so much that i am thinking of going with GV70 sport with 3.5
Hopefully i can get over it once i see it.

Still undecided between Verbier white, Melbourne or the new Ferrari red exclusive to Canada. I like the metallic flakes in your Melbourne edition.

Yea definitely not a big fan of the new gauge cluster, much prefer the prior gauge cluster. I wish like the G90, the prior generation G70 gauge cluster would incorporate the BVM into that 7 inch middle panel.

However, the exterior, the special red interior on the Launch Edition, and the updated infotainment screen on the new G70 looks fantastic!

Loving it. Current plan is to wrap the entire front with xpel stealth. Getting a sample this week to ensure a sheen match. Then ceramic coat everything. Next will be springs and maybe spacers.

I believe it is a power trunk lid. There is only one review out that I can find on this side of the border. I don’t know about the digital key yet but can ask the dealership when I speak to them soon.

This guy also has a driving review. I feel like this is the first facelifted G70 where I've heard the variable exhaust, since most Korean ones didn't rev it out. Am I crazy or does it actually sound really good?

It sounds so much better over the previous exhaust systems. In sport plus you get little burps on shifting

quickly used the included Dr Beasleys Matte Final Finsih to go over the car. seems like a really nice product and came out great. There is a ton of metallic flake in this paint. I am loving it more by the minute. Haven't had any time to play inside or set anything up. hopefully tonight.

I gotta tell you, I never thought I'd want a car with matte paint, but, WOW! That Dr. Beasleys Matte Final Finish is great and your car looks fantastic! Really. I'm impressed.

I personally don’t want a digital gauge. I think it’ll date the vehicle while an analog will stand the test of time better. I do think it’s weird Genesis didn’t include full digital as digital is cheaper to manufacture than analog. Plus, it’s the current trend right now to have full digital

And it seems like the Power Trunk was omitted as well. They have stripped so many features down for the US market and I'm not sure why. The features available in Korea but not in North American are....

Do we need to add the omission of auto- dimming outside mirrors as well to the above list?? I compared a window sticker on a 2021 and 2022. The 2021 lists the mirrors as auto dimming. The 2022 window sticker only states "heated power folding" Can anyone confirm?

The matte paint looks like it has a nice sort of satin sheen to it. What did the dealer tell you about care for the paint? Did they specifically instruct you regarding washing it? I'm just trying go determine if it is really worth it or not to go with the matte, which is beautiful, but also requires more work to maintain (and I street park my car so there's that - the car will get dirty constantly).

I think the best place to get this kind of information is on forums specialized in detailing, like https://www.autogeek.net (to buy) and Autogeekonline Auto Detailing Forum (forum) You will learn there that you should avoid all wax based products: shampoo, coating, quick detailer.... In short, you will find everything you need: they are real experts in detailing.

Pretty much they were only 2 himalayan greys in NYC when I got mine and the dealer told me he'd get me the one with the 3d cluster because it was very rare. So yea I guess lol.

I'm picking up a 2021 Havana Red with 3D cluster on Friday. I will say that I can confirm that there is a way for the sales guys to search for and specify the 3D clusters when they are searching for cars. However, most dealers do not give the salespeople access and most the sales managers wouldn't know where to look either.
