Add Techron

Hello all, I’m enjoying my 2017, 3.8 G80. Any opinions on adding Techron fuel system cleaner to the gas tank after every oil change?

It won't hurt anything. It probably won't help either, unless you're using really cheap gasoline.

I have added 20oz Techron (Concentrate Plus) at every only change (5K Miles) on the past 6 cars I've owned. I have no empirical/quantitative evidence it helps, but not had a fuel system issue on any of these vehicles. I only use gas from Top Tier brands.

Thank you fir your reply. I added it at every oil change in my 2010 BMW with no issues.

I use the Cheapest gas in my area which is always Costco & their gas pumps state " Top Tier " right on them.

I guess that he is picking at my statement about cheap gasoline. I stand by it. I said "cheap", not inexpensive or lowest priced. Cheap, as in low quality.
Cheap != Inexpensive != lowest priced

Right joegr: Costco just happens to always be least expensive gas here in Calgary but its obviously not low quality.

Used it once @ about 20000 Kilometers & 2 years ago but when I found out that Top Tier gas use will be fine according to Hyundai I did not repeat. Now @ 45000 Kilometers so it is too early to tell if it would help to reduce GDI carbon buildup. Car is running as new .

Yes, I have used Techron before. I think that it is good stuff, but for me at least it wasn't needed, so it didn't make any difference. I do often get Chevron gasoline, which has Techron in it.
