  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Genesis Model Type
1G Genesis Sedan (2009-2014)
Looking for input on resolving issues with my 2009 Genesis sedan.
  1. The back up camera
  2. Driver power seat back motion
  3. Driver Handle lock button
The back up camera does not show any image. It shows the guide lines but the rest is all black. Once I saw cloudy white for a few seconds. For my 2009 sedan which is the "fuse" label that includes the camera. I want to try the reset solution.

Welcome. Moving this to our first generation Genesis Sedan section.

The cameras are prone to corrosion unfortunately. All you can do is either splice in a different camera to the existing wiring, install a secondary camera system (my car came with one) or replace the OEM camera with a new one.

Thanks for input. I suspected that is the problem.

Got a used back up camera from eBay and works great
I covered it in plasti dip to keep the moisture out of it
On a side note go to the dealer and get the rear panel clips if your gonna replace the camera
Cause you will break some

Is there a part number for the rear panel clips I need to replace some

The blue ones are on the bottom corners and most likely break cause you can’t get to them
The yellow are in the middle
I got two of each 41518752-8C40-42D0-B9AD-7B3D25440EB2.webpAF947A3F-2527-482D-9473-6A07347C64B4.webp

Oh and most likely the screws that hold camera
Will be rusty and corroded and won’t come out
I had to cut mine off and use a bigger screw to secure it …you ll figure it out once you see it .
