  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi All. I need help searching for a part. It's the clear plastic cover for the rear license plate lamps for a 2009 sedan. PXL_20210720_120856805.webp
After 12 years I need to replace the rear license plate lamp bulb(s) and the plastic cover(s) have broken (disintegrated) around the screws. I have found the replacement bulbs, screws, and spring nuts on HyundaiPartsDeal, but I can't seem to find the replacement plastic lens.
Just curious if anyone has a part number, or better source for the covers?
Thanks.

Ooooh a quest!

Step one: Talk to your local dealer's service writer and ask her/him who does their body repair work.
Step two: Then go see that person to identify/order the part for you.

Maybe this is it.....
Unfortunately, that is a different plastic lens than the exterior plastic lens. I did crawl in the trunk and check.

After making the trip to my nearest Hyundai dealer (45min drive, one way) I was informed that they don't sell individual lens covers. You have to purchase the whole assembly (92506A on HyundaiPartsDeal website). That includes both lamps & the trunk release button.

Next step, maybe a trip to the salvage yards. Odds are slim. Maybe I'll be lucky.

I picked up on that after I looked at other part outlets. May have to be junk yard.
