  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hey

What are some good performance sparks for Genesis G80 3.3T Sport. I am going to try out the Racechip GTS and I think I need to change out the sparks. Will these ones work? It says it's for the Stinger/G70 and G80 T-GDi is a different engine.

Denso 5346 IKH24

Will any of the NGK sparks work?

Thanks!

Yes those spark plugs will work just fine. Those are the ones I’m currently using with my JB4 haven’t had any issues. Stock plugs like NGK should also work if gapped to .022 but will not last as long depending on how aggressive you’re planning on going.

Apparently you get better fuel economy so I plan on driving reasonably

Should I go with the 'step 1' or 'step2?'

On tuned 3.3's, the NGK M45iL has been proven to last longer than the lessor expensive Denso plugs, FYI
Yes correct. A little more pricey but have also heard they have better heat resistance than denso plugs.

Step 1 should be all you need. Step 2 is for more aggressive tunes if you’re planning on pushing your engine to the limit.

Thanks. Are HKS, similar in quality and performance as NGK?

I would say these are a little better than the NGK plugs that’s why they are pricier but if you’re not running anything super aggressive the NGK plugs will be just fine. I have been using the step 1 denso plugs for 6k miles running map 4 constantly and have had no issues. I’ll leave the link to those as well.
