  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

How do I get rid of the "recommended maintenance" alert? I have already got my car serviced but the dealership hasn't uploaded my service record.

I got my car serviced a few days ago, it seems like they did reset the maintenance reminder on my vehicle, but they did not update my maintenance records on the Genesis website, every time I log in it shows me the maintenance alert, and I can't close it or reset it.

I have even manually added the service on both the Genesis website and the app, but that did not make it go away. I also would like to utilize the maintenance timeline because it seems informative, but my service record wasn't added there. It's pretty annoying, this is my first "luxury" car and I hate that they didn't update my maintenance record, they even denied my valet request (later found out I had to call the service person directly rather than calling the dealership call center).

Oh fck. I'm due for this first oil change 6k miles. And I haven't used the app service but I received a reminder that I'm due coming up.

So the app might not let me schedule valet etc and might have to call the place and schedule the work?

Results from the app have been between poor and terrible. Phone works best.

Please let us know if/how you get the Service Record updated. For all of us new Genesis owners this could be a huge issue with (hopefully none) warranty issues. Imagine the squabbles about failure to perform timely (or any Service) if you had an expensive component failure later. Yes ,you'd have paper copies of receipts but who wants that needless fight.

I submitted a ticket through the Genesis owner website, explained the issue. A day later I received an automated email from my Genesis dealership with something like "thanks for your recent service visit", at that point my Genesis account AND the carfax were immediately updated with that service.

Now I'm not sure whether this was caused by me submitting a ticket, I suspect the dealership just took a while to update my record, because the next day I actually got a reply to my ticket and they suggested that I add the service record MANUALLY, even though I literally wrote that I DID add the record manually there but the maintenance massage was not going away. So pretty much they just gave me a generic probably automated response that did not address or solve my problem.

With that being said, the maintenance alert is STILL showing up on my Genesis account, even when the dealership actually added that I had performed the maintenance service. So either way my problem was not solved.

I gotta say again, I love the car itself, but very disappointed with all the false valet promises and the functionality of the app and the website services.

Did you get your maintenance reminder to go away? I’m still 1000 miles away from my next oil change (I do my own) but the Genesis owners web site and my G70 keep telling me service is due. Not sure if I can tweak the interval for another 1000 miles or if I need to just change service the interval to the next higher number?
