  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Genesis Model Type
2G Genesis Sedan (2015-2016)
I have a 2015 with the 5L v8.
1. My question is did the massive brake calipers that came on this car come on the v6s?
2. Did they use the same calipers on the awds? 3. Are these calipers on the newer model years?
I am trying to gage if 245/45R18 on 18x8 rims would clear my brakes.

The larger 360mm(14.2in) brake rotors(large calipers) on the 2015 models is only available on the 5.0 models with 19in wheels. The 18in wheel models (5.0 and 3.8) have the smaller 345mm rotors. The models with 17in wheels have even smaller 330mm brake rotors

I don't think that I've ever seen the 17" wheel... Must look kinda silly.

I think the 2015-2016 Genesis has a 3.0 model(overseas market) that has the 17in wheels.
