  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

They likely only add two in the door and two under threat and one or two more but same system. 🤫🤷🏿‍♂️👀 it’s the same speakers at the bottom in all the cars aesthetically.

What is possible is that they all are lexicon and the up sell is to only label it on the one with the 5 additional speakers.

It’s like I thought. Lexico is just a 6 speaker add on.

According to the car audio supplier, the Lexicon Premium Sound System adds six more speakers to the originally installed nine to offer the best audio sound quality, with a high power output Class D Amplifier and under seat subwoofer. Lexicon Premium Sound System applied to sporty Genesis G70

Funny thing about the Lexicon system is that it sounds extremely flat, in my opinion. I have the tweeters bumped up, but still sound just OK. My son's Kia Stinger Premium with the Harmon Kardon system sounds much better. Full of life and much better highs. I'm thinking about swapping the front door speakers in my G70 to a premium 3 way setup from Morel or Focal real soon.

Lexicon doesnt make speakers. Lexicon does processors/amps/receivers.

I would assume the speakers are from one of Harman's speaker brands (infinity/JBL/harman-kardon/etc.)

Yup I'm coming from a Stinger too and the system sounded 10x better! As soon as I got into my G70 I thought the stereo was broken or something, sounds really bad compared to the Stinger.

I've played a lot with the Lexicon system in my G70, and found the best sound comes from using the equalizer app on my Samsung phone, as opposed to the different set-ups on the infotainment system. It made a huge difference! Everyone that's ridden in my car thinks the stereo is fantastic. Perhaps give that a try.

I misread. Disregard

the problem with sound systems is everyone prefers something different. ive built and sat in some contest winning (not bass but actual sound quality) builds and what the industry says is the "right" sound, just isnt it for me.

the overall imaging of the system is pretty good though. its just a matter of figuring out the right eq settings for your personal preferences.

havent looked at the amp/dsp combo yet in the g70, but can probably do some adjusting on that as well to get it to your liking. Just going off the stinger and genesis sections on harman/lexicon's site, that seems to be the only real change in the 2 systems.

edit: after looking at pics, doesnt look like theres any easy changing to it with analog crossovers. not sure if youd be able to hook in to it and do anything

Agreed, that why I stated "in my opinion" when I initially posted. Sound is very subjective. In my Ram Rebel I have Hertz components, DSR-1 DSP, (2) Sound Digital amps, and (2) 12" Image Dynamics subs. That system tweaked, sounds amazing to me, but others say I run the tweeters too hot. I disagree. Lol

I wish I could add more highs to the stock Lexicon system in the G70. There is only the basic mid, high, bass setting in this system. I have the tweeters at 8 and still too flat for my tastes. I may look into swapping out just the tweeters of going down the rabbit hole and installing a 3 way setup in this car. We shall see....

I need to replace the lower speaker in the driver's door of my 2015 Hyundai Genesis 5.0 Lexicon system any suggestions.
