How to disable DRL on 2012 R-Spec

Hey Genesis crew!
I'm posting this question myself as I have not found a clear answer. I want to disable the DRL on a 2012 R-Spec. Let me be clear, disable only. I don't need opinions on warranty, insurance, driving safety, legalities, etc. I don't want to replace with frosted LEDs, halos, or anything else. I just want them off. If anyone has figured out how to accomplish this in a sane, reasonable manner, (one reply from another thread suggested using a baseball bat) you would be helping several others as well I'm sure.

You seem to have all the answers. Of course you already know that your DRL bulbs are also the high beam bulbs. Ask your local car audio shop about modifying the circuitry so that the bulbs only act as the high beam.

I don't have all the answers. I thought it would be obvious by asking in the first place. Yes, I was aware of the drl being tied into the highs. But at least you're not a complete waste of time. Your answer gives some direction at least.

aren't the daytime running lamps the same as the turn signals? if so, they're likely using the same power wire to power them (and then when a signal is activated, power drops out and comes back as the turn signal would require). If you can confirm this (same wire used to power the DRL as is the turn signal wire), you would in theory just need to repower the bulbs with a turn signal trigger from elsewhere instead of an ACC source as it is stock from the engine fuse box. May require a relay to boost current for each light, would need to test.

looking at ALLDATA quick it doesn't appear that there is a separate wire for the DRLs vs the Turns. On my 2013 the front turns ARE the DRLs.

If you want a schematic for the exterior lighting, let me know and I'll post it
