Does anyone have a video yet on the JB4 install? Also, does anyone have feedbakck? I am seeing a lot of people saying the spark plugs should be changed and also the boost is cutting off in sport mode. Any truth to this?

I came from a 500hp sports car, v8 prior to the Genny. I launched it for the first time few days ago.… was actually surprised, pretty quick for an SUV lol.

I don’t disagree. The only thing I don’t like about launching it, is that it seems to struggle to shift into 2nd.

I think it shifts very aggressive and hard. Coming from a Lexus RCF, that thing shifted like butter no Matter how aggressive I was or the mode it was in.

to be honest, not a fan how the transmission handles in sport mode. Too aggressive

Agree completely. It almost seems to pull harder as it shifts when in the sport modes. For a mid sized suv this thing is super fast stock.

The launch control is giggle inducing as well.

It might be the fastest thing on the road but good lord is it fun to scoot around it.

I'm honestly pretty satisfied how it comes performance wise. A tuner would unlock it a bit more but at what cost? In my previous experience dealers can tell when engine maps are changed or ecms flashed. However I do read the jb4 goes inbetween the ecm and sensors. But I feel it has to make a change to the maps to make performance gains.

I believe it shifts much harder in Sport and Sport+ which I love, it gives the car a whole new character. As of JB4, there's no way for the dealership to find out about it as long as you take it out before each visit. JB4 doesn't change the maps, it only triggers the ECU to make more boost. I previously had a G70 and on dyno it gained around 100hp with only 600 BUCKS!!!

Patiently waiting to get one for my GV too

Pretty much what I mean is when I use launch control it lags for a split second shifting to 2nd and then shifts extremely hard. I came from an Alfa Romeo and that transmission shifted unbelievably fast and smooth.

The 3.5T is a bit out of my price range or I would have gotten that instead of the 2.5T (on order) so I am very interested in the JB4 as well.

Are you planning on installing UHP tires to go with all that extra HP? That was my first mod, and this thing can put the power down in stock.

It’s funny, but I find myself using Comfort mode 95% of the time. I’ve gotten used to the throttle and I prefer the steering response.

I wish that the delta between Sport and Sport + was larger, ie, that Sport would be a little bit less aggressive, other than that, this is the most well engineered ride I’ve ever owned. Danke Herr Biermann!

Its tempting if its truly undetectable. Ive just been burned pretty good in the past with tuning vehicles under warranty.

I really don't think so, a lot of owners both G70 and stinger had warranty works done to their car, even my G70 had a small oil leak from the head gasket and they replaced the valve cover and resealed the gasket under warranty.

I just wish we had a dedicated button to just put the transmission in sport and have everything else in comfort...you can somewhat do that in the custom mode but it still changes the throttle mapping and its always ready to hit full boost lol

So true. I make sure my engine oil temp and transmission temps are in the middle before I engage Sport mode however. In fact, I think the computer shouldn't allow us to engage Sport mode until then.
