  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

ISG GV70-Deactivation

One simple option GV80 owners (and other brands) have discovered. The Bread clip trick

Lol someone else posted to use a guitar pick too.

ISG really needs to have a permanent off option in cars. Every car I've been in that has it you have to turn it off every time you start the car.

The irony is if they had it where it starts the car with it off, there are a few times I actually like to manually turn it on. Like when I'm in a long Starbucks line that's barely moving, I actually turn it back on. If they could do it in reverse it would be perfect.

Even though I'm the only one in my car 99% of the time, I would be embarrassed to see this. Sheer vanity would overwhelm my laziness obligating me to summon the strength to raise my arm, extend my finger and forcibly depress the button.
That's the only reason I haven't done it is because the interior is so damn nice I think it would aggravate me looking down and seeing something sticking out of the console.

You'd have to write your Congressman to change the EPA regulations. If it was tested using ISG it has to be the default mode at startup.

I wouldn’t want to trouble Congress with legislation.

Someone will make an aftermarket part and charge $10 for it. :)

This the one option in the GV I'm baffled as to why the designers decided we would want it on all the time? It should start in Off mode and have the option to turn it on when needed.

Nothing to be baffled about. Car makers have to follow EPS regulations. See post #22.
