  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Air conditioning blows weak...sometimes.

It's freezing up due to a bad evaporator temperature sensor. See this thread: AC Issues in Rain
Thanks all though dealer now reports that the Tech-Line they called theorized that without an error code, the fact that my AC measured out as being overcharged from the factory with freon may be the issue and they reset to correct lower level (not without trying to charge me though!) Problem has yet to resurface in a few days' time but I have not driven in a humid/rainy day yet.

Does a bad evaporator sensor result in any kind of code? Is it plausible to have an overcharged AC and not have any problem show up until 3+ years of ownership?

No, it does not trigger any code. There's no way for the system to know that the temperature it is reporting is not correct.
No, it is not plausible that it was overcharged and working fine that way for three years and then had a problem from that.

If you have or are having AC issues there are a few of us who propose crafting a letter to submit as a group to Genesis Motor America corporate. Does anyone know how to create a survey in this platform to find out who would help edit and be willing to co-sign such a letter?
