  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I just bought a 2015 Genesis 3.8 sedan and I wanted to add my speaker and Amp to it and someone said it's not a good idea since the car has one. Is that true? The bass isn't loud enough for me.

Hi welcome. I'm going to move this topic into the 2015-2016 Genesis Sedan section. I will also update the title so that people who can assist you will know it's a topic they're familiar with.

Good evening. Depending on the level of the stereo, makes it a little difficult. But it is doable.
I personally have added an amp and a sub. I have the 14 speaker system, and the factory sub is still hooked up.
Now I will say, these cars are made to be quiet. I leave the pass through open in the back seat, to get more bass in the cabin area.

There are a couple of older post here, that show how to do it as-well.

I replaced my original 8 inch sub with a "wet sounds" open air sub and 250W mono amp (make sure it's got "line or speaker level" inputs.

Good news: The battery's in the trunk, so no need to pull power from under the hood and running cables to the trunk. I mounted my amp on the frame near the battery.

Bad news: You need to remove the rear bench seat to access the subwoofer. ALSO, make sure they add damper do the platform. It wasn't designed for a powerful sub and it'll rattle/buzz.

It will sound AMAZING ! ! !

It is possible I recently installed 2 12s and an amp in my 2015 3.8 with no issues at all

The least expensive way to increase bass in your car is this Adding bass to your 17 speaker Lexicon with new amplifier. I was the first person that did this here, and its going almost 4 years since I did it and my stock sub is still running fine. Although this was done on the 17 speaker system, it can also be done on the 14.
Can you guide me to the set up ? I have they b1050 amp which is for 14 speakers but idk what to tap
