  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

All warning lights on in 2015 Genesis

This is what the dash looked like when I took it back to the Hyundai dealer after they could not get an active code the day before. After picking up the vehicle I had no problem getting the problem to come back and returned to the Hyundai service department. They said they now had an active code, I have no idea what code it was, but they had no idea what was wrong because they have no trained Genesis technicians. I had waited 6 weeks for this appointment and was now told it was a Genesis and not a Hyundai and I could wait over 3 weeks to take to an authorized Genesis service department or leave with them for a few weeks while they try to diagnose the problem. Has anybody seen this problem before and happen to know what the solution was?
Thanks, Paul
My dashboard looks like this: and the incompetent idiots at Hyundai have no clue how to fix it. They had the car for 24 days (after I waited 6 weeks for an appt.) They are totally inept and the Hyundai corp will do nothing for you. The fact that you are in warranty will mean nothing. They will come up with all the non-reasons in the world to blame you.. My car is under extended HYUNDAI warranty-- Platinum level good for 100K miles.. they told me that there were rodent in my car. I authorized them to troubleshoot (at 420.00 -out of of my pocket) and they did not come up with anything! NADA!... I was going to buy a 2022 GV80 which would have been my 6th Hyundai product in a row. Now I am not sure that I will go with one as they are not trained in any way shape or form. The cars are excellent but once they break,. BEWARE! I know for a fact that German cars (all of them take much more pride in their products and provide4 expert support.

Call Hyundai up directly. Start a claim ticket, so you have something physical to refer to.

Rodent damage is real, and happens a lot now. You should have let them continue the diagnosis. This is an insurance claim, not a warranty claim.

I had the same problem - was fuel pump control module.
I just got off the phone with my Hyundai dealer who said they are waiting on a fuel pump control module. This coming Friday, 3-11, will be 11 weeks they have had the vehicle.

I approved a troubleshooting fee (420.00). For the sake of argument, let's assume for a moment that rodent ate some wires. How do you find which wires? you TROUBLESHOOT! a week after I agreed to spend 420 on troubleshooting, I called to check on status (by that time they had the car for nearly 4 weeks. They did not come up with anything. I am not sure I mentioned here before but I spent my entire work life with Honeywell International (aerospace) as an engineer whose task was troubleshooting of the most sophisticated aircraft systems ...... There are many more miles of wires in an airplane, many more connectors, many more computers, relays, circuit breakers, controllers etc. in an airplane than in a car. And still can you believe that in my entire career no airplane was grounded for more than several hours because of my inability to find the problem? BTW many of the aircraft sensors are exposed to harsher "external influences" than a mouse could ever pose. I will stand by my conclusion that Hyundai's mechanics are ill equipped to a point that they are more destructive than constructive. Unfortunately the exceptions are too few.

I did that and I would never ever suggest anyone to do the same. There is absolutely no purpose to call them. All they do is record the call and then tell you that the dealer "has the last word" and what the dealers say goes.

Sorry, I guess I am too wrapped up on your refusal to believe that looking in the center console was valid for an ABS problem. Yes, it should not take them as long as it did. They probably don't have the skill level they need for this problem. I'm an engineer, and I suggest that you do the same thing I would do at this point. Diagnose and repair it yourself.

You are right about one thing and that is that I refuse to believe that there was rodent damage as they fabricated the pictures! The presence of a rodent does not imply damage just as going to a bar and consuming Coke is not intoxicating. I would accept anything based on evidence. They showed none and that is when I took the car away from them. In the repair report that they gave me there is no mention of rodents or obviously rodent caused damage. As I said, the pictures are fabricated. BTW, this dealer has a BBB rating of D- for a good reason.
