  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Does anyone experiencing scratchy or better to call, interference in the sound while using Apple CarPlay, for example Spotify, while driving and change the drive mode from different positions when the selector rotated?. This is what is happening to me sometimes, i not sure if always been acting like this but is very noticeable for a month or so so far. I have to pause and sometimes kill Spotify and back on to fix this.

No sir. But I do read the stinger forums and have seen this mentioned over there. Question for you: when you change drive modes do you have it set up to display that change in the nav? If so, toggle that off and see if it fixes your issue

Thank you, yes I do. I will try with that set up and see. Thanks again.

I had the problem where the sound system would “glitch” when I changed drive mode. I went into the settings and removed the drive mode select notification from display and this appears to have fixed the problem. Thanks for the tip!

That is the weirdest problem and fix I’ve ever read.

dbuckingham has the answer right on. At first I thought it was my cable for my Apple car play or even Apple car play itself. However what I hadin the system settings was for the drive mode change notification to be the full screen notification. I changed it to be “minimal/discreet” and it has eliminated the issue all together. Try it out and your problem should be solved.

I didn't even realize minimal/discreet was an option. Haha. I thought it was either off or in for the notification. I'll have to do that because I don't like how it takes up the whole screen when switching modes. Luckily for me, I haven't had any audio problems like this. *Knocks on wood*

I thought the same thing but was still doing it with a brand new cable. I picked up my G70 last night and did it during the test drive. I’ll try this fix out!

Not to high jack thread, but does anyone else hear a notable difference in sound/power/quality between standard radio and CarPlay/Bluetooth audio? With Sirius it is loud and clear at about vol 9. With CarPlay Apple Music the audio is sub par and I need vol at about 25 to match radio level

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Check the vol in your phone while using the app. Not necessarily the ring vol is at same level that the app especially if you turn off and back on the phone, music app always start at mid level vol.

I noticed the same thing. Sirius quality is 100%. Once plugged in or by Bluetooth the volume has to be upped all that way up to match that.

Have you guys found any solution to it? Could it be the cable?

Increase your volume to max on your phone while connected to bluetooth... then your car volume should be fine.
