Is your hood latched?? No gap at all on mine.

Popped the hood, gave the two underside rubber feet near the front two full turns (they were pretty lose) and voila! Gap fixed. Thanks Sayantsi.
I discovered that the whole lower, under lip of the grill piece was 'out of socket', hanging down lower than the under belly pan - out of socket. I moved it's lip up above and into the belly pan, and the gap is mostly gone. I will look at the rubber bumpers this weekend.
..and take a new photo. I think this is close to what it's best will be.
