Who's got gap tooth?

The top sides of the hood match well to the fender gap, but not the front of the hood to the grill, starting at the corner of the lights.

Anyone else have this gap tooth?

That is definitely not normal. It almost looks like your hood is open. Looks like you need a trip to the dealer.

Does it do that on both sides?

Pop the hood, and you will see some rubber bumpers on the underside of the hood. Start by giving them 90 degree turns closckwise and see it that lowers the hood enough while still latching tightly. If it is too out of spec, you might need to readjust the center latch.

My gap is about half that, but I have noticed that on the drivers side, the grille is sunken in a bit where it meets the top horizontal slat of the grill. It's a nice even match on the passenger side. Barely noticeable, but something you pick up on after washing the car several dozen times.

I checked mine and while there isn't a gap Chris Rock style the hood does seem a little longer. It sticks out just a bit. I'll try to take some picks tonight and post. IMO - your hood shouldn't have that huge of a gap, I wonder if they can just re-align the hood?

I've noticed a similar gap on mine! Thought it was just me, but after seeing how tight scottdk's is there's definitely something going on..

Normally all hood latches are adjustable. Then there are 4 rubber feet that can be further screwed in/out to adjust the hood along it's length. Probably just overlooked/missed on the assembly line or the hood latch bolts were never tightened properly and the latch is at it's highest position. None the less, an easy fix and under warranty.

I discovered that the whole lower, under lip of the grill piece was 'out of socket', hanging down lower than the under belly pan - out of socket. I moved it's lip up above and into the belly pan, and the gap is mostly gone. I will look at the rubber bumpers this weekend.

..and take a new photo. I think this is close to what it's best will be.

Wow, I have the same gap in mine...will have to try adjusting.

All the gaps are checked during final QA at the plant (hood, trunk, doors and yes, gas cover). Something went wrong somewhere. It's something the dealer will adjust to factory spec under the warranty.

Glad to hear it worked out! I'm going to double check mine again, it doesn't stick out like yours did, but this is something that's easy to check.
