  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I have a 2012 Genesis sedan 3.6 The seatbelt chime keeps ringing after I set it in place.
Does anyone know how to disable the chime?

Went away for a while then it came back after warranty expired.

It won't shut up AFTER I latch the belt.

Are you sure that it's easier/better/cheaper to find some way to disable it, instead of just fixing it?

I would do either eventually. But since I always wear my seatbelt the chime is no necessary. Some cars have disabling intheir programs. I don't think Hyundai does. But one things for sure, I will HAVE to stop it because it drives me nuts.

All three of your topics about the same thing have been combined into this single discussion. Any relation to our new friend Ziggy3?:

Check the connections under your seat?
