I don’t get why some people fret over the 21” wheels. The GV70 is incredibly compliant even with those large wheels. Are people buying these cars without having test driven them at all?

I’m in NYC and no one seems to have a car to test drive…plenty of cars to look at and/or sit in until the owner comes to pick up their new baby. I think I may have lucked out this weekend and will finally get to test drive one! I will be on the road for about 100 days this year, so smooth comfort and a quiet cabin are most important, will I get that from the 2.5 advanced and/or the 2.5 prestige?v

I lucked into an Advanced. Inexplicably buyer backed out and salesperson liked me. (offered her a "bonus" if she moved me to front of line). Your choice is like between 2 kinds of ice cream. Can't go wrong!

I blacked out the OEM sport plus wheels on my 3.5T. Halfway through the coats, haven't had the time to finish up. Will update when I eventually finish the project.

The supply chain issues have certainly affected availability of after-market wheels. Just about every wheel I have had some interest in is sold out everywhere. Thankfully, I still have some time before my GV arrives (Sept), and hopefully things will get better and the spring peak demand for wheels for summer will have waned a bit.

Yeah, you want to lay them flat and mask off the tire and inside wheel well. I just watched their youtube videos for instructions.

Interesting stuff. First I have heard of Superwrap. Familiar with PlastiDip, and was thinking of their Hyperdip for emblems, but never liked their stuff for wheels or other. I can spot plastidip from a mile a way...normally looks brutal. This seems very interesting. I wonder what durability is like.

Hi I ordered a GV70 2.5T Prestige Black with red interior. Will receive in a few months. I really don't like the wheels that come with it as I find it takes away the sport look. Actually like the ones that come with the 3.5 sport plus but can't have them.
Saw a few guys here who changed their wheels and looks awesome so thought I would start a thread to give me and other ideas of different wheels.
From another post it seems the fit is Wheel size 19x8.5 Bolt pattern 5/114.3 offset 35mm
Will probably stay with 19" like original or maybe 20" not much more as I live in pot hole city so want to keep as much rubber as possible before hitting the rim and of coarse there is ride comfort.

Yeah, not my cup of tea. I just find all-black wheels lose all definition...unless you are within 15' of the vehicle, they just look like black holes. I guess being from Canada where often black steelies are the norm for winter, I am biased towards seeing the same in any black wheel.

But, doesn't matter what I think. Your vehicle so what counts is that you like it.
