  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Finally had first service on GV80 at 2400 miles and 9 months. Prior to this, I was getting several reminders that service was past due and my spark plugs needed changing. After several calls to Hyudai dealership, they stated they cannot get paid until 9 months. So I brought it to them since I live about 1/2 mile from dealership. They stated they were unsure if service would be covered as they think it needs to be a full 9 months--not the start of the 9th month. I told them not to do service if not covered. So they changed the oil--full synthetic-no upcharge, tire rotation, and GPS update. Invoice was for $0. Another invoice was next to mine with my name on it for $205. I asked service advisor what that was about. He stated that is what they submit to Genesis. On it was a $100 charge for concierge service, which they had not provided to me. I did not say anything. Then advisor ask would I like car washed as it had pollen on car. I said of course. Gone 5 minutes--they rinsed pollen off , brought car back wet, and didn't vacuum inside. Also, I suspect they did not check air pressure in tires as each tire had different pressure. Is this what to expect when you spend 80K on a car? or is this just another Genesis disappointment?

That is what I expect from Hyundai /genesis

GV80 complimentary maintenance is 5k miles or 6 months. Genesis pays us $100 for each valet service we do under the maintenance contract. If we don't put it on the invoice it's money left on the table. If it's a dual dealership you most likely will get a Hyundai experience. Sorry brother. The cars are cool but service is a long ways away from being up there with the big dogs.

Think the dealer is entitled to $100 for valet service IF, IF they actually provided it. They did not. That is called stealing in my book, so I know they will steal from me given the chance.
