  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

1G Genesis Sedan (2009-2014)
I will be adding a Genesis emblem to the hood of my 2011 sedan. Not liking that there is only one in the back. What adhesive should I use to make sure it’s permanent? It needs to be need it to be strong anyway but especially since I tend to use drive through car washes occasionally. I know I know, those aren’t the best on my paint job but Texas is so hot right now.

Considering the price of gas today I'd not do that. You are adding extra weight and changing the aerodynamics of the body. Your gas mileage will plummet.

3M makes a double sided tape for things like that. Available at any auto supply store. Look for 3M Molding tape

Yes, 3M will do perfectly fine. It's what holds on the OEM emblems. You already have a spare emblem?

3 mpg loss due to drag coefficient change at the minimum

that's if there's enough torque to get moving to begin with.
Insufficient torque to offset the emblem might not be as big a problem as you think. What if he adjusted the marzelvanes on the ambifacient lunar waneshaft?

I am no expert on turbo encabulators, but would that adjustment overcome the drag force or would it screw up the tension on the differential girdlespring?

let's be honest. he's going to need a continuum transfunctioner.

My advice is to leave off the front emblem. That is what I and many others did. That adds to the mystery and the uniqueness of the car. That’s also why Genesis didn’t install one at the factory.

By the way, the original rear badge on your ‘11 Genesis was the standard Hyundai brand badge, not the Genesis wings.

If you choose to buy a front one, our webmaster Sal (see above) will send you the correct one that also comes with the standard adhesive peel-off backer. No super glue is needed!

Do you really think it would help? Dude, he knows where his car is.
