  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

How can I update the GPS of a 2010 Genesis?

Depends on the trim. Premium can DIY update at home.

Technology requires a full tank of gas at the dealer and $500 or so (4 hours job). Yes, they idle the car the entire time as required by HMA.

What does "Premium" mean? Is that the touch screen stereo/nav with a single CD player and heated (but not cooled) seats?

What Gunkk said. Waze or Google Maps navigation would be much better option.

Yes.

Tech package has DIS big knob in the center console and no touch screen, and DVD disk changer.

Okay, thanks. That sounds like what I have in my 2010.

Gunk, are you sure about updating Premium package trim level “at home?” Last I checked it was also an expensive trip to the dealer.
